The Systems Thinking SIG on Tuesday 24 October held their first webinar.

The Association for Project Management (APM), the Chartered body for the project profession, has published a paper on agile: "Agile project management: A panacea or placebo for project delivery", with the aim of increasing debate and resources on the topic.

Lord Adonis, chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission, has welcomed the findings of a new review setting out how the UK could become a world-leader in the development of Artificial Intelligence technology, which could deliver significant benefits for the country’s infrastructure network.

The first three T levels have been announced by the education secretary.

The SWWE Branch was very pleased to have worked with the APM’s Planning Monitoring and Control SIG and its Agile Working Group and APM’s Governance SIG in planning this engaging one day seminar exploring agile project management, what it is, and what it is not.

Authored by Dr Peter Hill PhD MSc BA (Hons), the research reflects current practices in cost-benefit analysis, arguing that traditional economic evaluations should not claim objectivity.

Agile is surrounded by many myths and misconceptions, in many cases resulting from the impression that agile is a simple concept.
